From the photo albums of Nathan Clifford Uttley in Sudbury:
How did this picture arrive there?
- The lady who is cut off at the left edge of the picture
is not known.
- It is Caroline Uttley Kalbfleisch, Aunt Carrie,
on the right.
- It is easy to conclude that the picture was taken at
Christmas time, but the year is unknown. The location appears
to be a living room or dining room but at whose house?
- In the upper left is a out-of-focus picture of a couple.
She is dressed as a bride with something on her head and holding
a bouquet of flowers. He is dressed in white pants and could
be the groom or even the father of the bride? The best guess
says it is the wedding picture of whoever lives in the house.
Colleen (Coulis) Laurin, a granddaughter of Caroline Kalbfleisch remembers
the lady cut off on the left as her 'Aunt Alma'. Her grandfather,
Fred Kalbfleisch, had a younger half sister whose name was Alma (born Nov 19, 1895)
so the unnamed lady is probably Alma Kalbfleisch.
